Mandatory technical skill and experience

  1. Minimum 12 years of experience in pharmaceutical purchasing.
  2. Hands on experience in procurement of API, excipients, packaging material and consumables for the pharmaceutical development and commercial production
  3. Well versed in regulatory requirement for supply chain management with respect to the input materials, considering the product supply to regulated markets like Europe, US, Australia etc. Must be aware of the documentation and technical requirement like CEP, technical declaration, CRC requirement, CE marking etc.)
  4. Strong knowledge on evaluation of vendors, vendor development, vendor qualification, cost negotiation and regulatory compliance for the supply chain on input material.
  5. Experienced in procurement of QC consumables (chemicals, columns, standards, impurities etc.)
  6. Should have hands on skill with respect to inventory management for the R&D and commercial batches.
  7. Should have experience in importing of the materials from oversees vendors.
  8. Knowledge in sourcing of reference products for developments activities from countries like US, Europe, UK, Australia etc.
  9. Understanding of the import and export obligations and regulations
  10. Good connections in the industry with the various vendors.  
  11. Strong in communications skills, as the role involves interaction with the customers/manufacturers, cross functional interaction and top management executives.
  12. Able to work independently where required and cooperatively in team
  13. Should be able to manage a team size of 2 to 3 members.
  14. Should be able to build the MIS and required reporting system for the function
  15. Robust decision making skills.
  16. Knowledge and experience on good documentation practice and ability to escalate the same in the system for implementation.
