Roles and Responsibility

Designation: Senior Design Engineer - Plumbing

Role: Plumbing design, modeling, detailing and documentation

Discipline: MEP

Platform: CAD & BIM

 

Duties: ▪ Design, Modeling, Detailing and Documentation:

  • Design of Plumbing systems (2D & 3D).
  • Construction documentation (BIM).
  • Detailed design (BIM).
  • Makes calculations using engineering formulas and skills for design,

such as waste, vent, water, natural gas, storm loads and equipment

sizing.

  • Researches design options and document findings for Project Lead.
  • Calculates space requirements for proper equipment layout.
  • Designs room layouts.
  • Lays out portions of piping systems based on schematic layout by

Project Lead.

▪ QC:

  • Follow project QC checklist: Plumbing
  • Implement QC standards across the assigned projects: Plumbing
  • Maintain the same level of quality on all deliverables in all the

assigned projects/tasks: Plumbing

▪ Client Coordination:

  • Daily / Weekly status calls with client to update the task status

along with the Project Lead.

  • Capture and analyze the client requirements: Plumbing
  • Deliver the tasks to clients as per the schedule with the supervision

of the project lead.

Responsibilities: ▪ This role will have no direct reporting associates.

▪ Responsible for overall performance of Plumbing tasks (as assigned by the

project lead).

▪ Quality of the deliverables to the clients (on the assigned plumbing tasks).

▪ Delivery of CAD and BIM projects as per clients expectations.

  • Modeling, Detailing and Documentation
  • Design and calculation of Plumbing systems (must)

Skillset: ▪ Technical

  • Revit MEP & AutoCAD
  • BIM360
  • Navisworks

▪ Domain

  • Plumbing standards / NBC: India.
  • Working knowledge on India projects (must).
  • Working knowledge of Plumbing systems.
  • Design knowledge of Plumbing systems is a must.

Qualification: ▪ B. Tech / M. Tech (Mechanical)

Experience: ▪ Overall 6+ Years on CAD and BIM platforms.
